Zovirax 800mg Tablet is used to treat cold sores (an infection caused by the herpes virus), genital herpes, and the common cold. It is also used to treat the infection of the stomach and small intestine caused by the herpes virus 1,3, and by the Herpes Simplex Virus, caused by the herpes virus HSV-1. Zovirax 800mg Tablet is taken orally in tablet form 1-2 times a day. You may take it with or without food if stomach upset occurs. The first treatment should be taken 1 time every day. The second treatment should be taken 3 times a day. If your symptoms do not improve after you continue treatment, you should consult a doctor. In case you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Do not take more than one dose in a day.
